Bills, local police team up to give kids sports gear

84 duffel bags were filled with basketballs, baseballs and other equipment for police officers to hand out while on patrol.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Mayor Byron Brown announced a partnership between the Buffalo police department, Victory Sports, and the Buffalo Bills Foundation Wednesday afternoon to provide local youth with sports equipment.

84 duffel bags were filled with basketballs, baseballs and other equipment for police officers to hand out while on patrol.

Defensive tackle Harrison Phillips made an appearance, reflecting on the how the partnership embodies the spirit of Ezra Castro after his passing on Tuesday. "It 100% falls under the bucket of something he would completely support."
