The holiday season magic begins with the return of the 24th production of the classic "The Nutcracker"  on Saturday December 7th at UB Center for the Arts.  Come celebrate a very special performance of the holiday classic with the American Academy of Ballet . A true Western New York favorite with sell out performances.   "The Nutcracker", is Buffalo's longest running production of this iconic holiday classic. Taking a child friendly approach, the charm of this production is sure to please all ages. This production is cleverly choreographed with surprises to delight in every scene. 


This production has color and magic in scenes from around the world. Every guest is wowed from countries like China, when a giant dragon takes center stage.  A 6 foot butterfly flies above the sleeping flowers in Holland.  At the North Pole, Santa's elves are busy hastily making all holiday toys. The Snowy Scene in Central Park includes a real skate rink!

The Academy's Nutcracker highlights Clara and her Prince taking exciting adventures to far away lands. They travel around the world in a hot air balloon, sponsored by Flying by Foy.
