State Police looking for the people who threw two dogs out of moving vehicle

The vehicle that the dogs were thrown out of is described as an older Dodge Durango, very dirty and it has rust along the hatch near the bumper area.

New York State Police are asking the public's help in trying to find the people responsible for throwing two dogs out of a moving vehicle on Interstate 81 in the Whitney Point area.

State Police say they spotted a tractor trailer parked in the left lane of the interstate with no one in the vehicle. Upon searching the interstate, they found the driver who was carrying one badly injured dog and another following behind him. 

The badly injured dog was treated to by a State Polcie K-9 handler who bandaged the injured dog to stop bleeding and splinted its leg.

The Broome County Humane Society was contacted and took possession of the dogs who are believed to be a beagle mix and are currently being treated.
