FBI meets with Buffalo Diocese sex abuse accuser

Attorney Barry Covert tells 2 On-Your-Side that his client Stephanie McIntyre has met with an FBI agent and U.S. Attorney Aaron Mango.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Attorney Barry Covert tells Two On Your Side that his client Stephanie McIntyre has met with an FBI agent and U.S. Attorney Aaron Mango.

The meeting took place Tuesday in South Carolina where McIntyre now lives.

Discussed was McIntyre’s alleged sexual abuse at the hands of Father Fabian Maryanski. The abuse began when McIntyre was 15-years-old and living in Niagara County.

McIntyre, 50, alleges the sexual abuse went on for years and that she notified the Buffalo Catholic Diocese about in 1995, but that the Diocese did nothing.

On Wednesday, Two On Your Side reported that McIntyre received the largest cash settlement offer reported from the Buffalo Roman Catholic Diocese when she was offered $400,000.
