BUFFALO, NY-- The Buffalo Sabres have signed their top draft pick to an entry-level contact.
Rasmus Dahlin agreed to a three-year deal.
The defenseman was selected first overall in the 2018 NHL draft.
Dahlin posted on Instagram in Swedish, which Google roughly translates as "Getting an NHL contract has been my dream since I started playing hockey! Now I have done it in Buffalo Sabres, it could not be better! I want to take care of thanking my family and everyone in my presence who have helped me along the way."

Former Sabre, and first overall draft pick in 1970, Gilbert Perrault was on hand for Dahlin's signing.
