Marshall movie shoot moves to City Hall

Shooting for the movie "Marshall", which has been taking place for several weeks in Western New York, moved to Buffalo City Hall on Friday

BUFFALO, NY - Shooting for the movie "Marshall", which has been taking place for several weeks in Western New York, moved to Buffalo City Hall on Friday.

About 40-50 extras joined actors playing the film's main characters for a scene shot on the front steps of the iconic art-deco landmark, which is a stand-in for a courthouse in Bridgeport Connecticut where the story takes place.

Crews will also be at City Hall on Saturday where they will shoot interior scenes in the building's lobby.

Ten days worth of shooting for this court room thriller will be done across Niagara Square inside the old Dillon Federal Courthouse, where its still intact vintage courtrooms will serve movie makers well.

However, the entrance to the Dillon Courthouse was not large enough for the film's climactic scene, nor was it as visually appealing to producers, compared to what City Hall offered in terms of a backdrop.
