ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Police arrested a Cheektowaga man after they say he drove drunk and tried to enter a stranger's home.

Orchard Park Police say David P. Baldo tried to enter the home on Potter Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday. The person living there confronted Baldo then called 911.

The caller told police Baldo walked away from the home and then got into a car. The caller was able to get the plate number and give it to police.

An officer spotted the car on West Quaker Street and pulled it over.

Police say Baldo appeared drunk and failed sobriety tests at the scene.

He was arrested and taken to the police department where officers say he registered a blood alcohol content of .33% — more than four times the legal limit.

Police say Baldo's license was also suspended because of a previous DWI and drunk driving conviction.

Baldo is charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, and trespassing.

He posted bail and is due back in court at a later date.
