BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Bailey Avenue Community Clean-Up event was expected to draw more than 200 volunteers on Saturday.
The event, which began at 9 a.m. and was scheduled until 2 p.m., is part of a citywide initiative to clean up neighborhoods.
"I am glad to see our Council Offices working together as a team to clean up," Lovejoy Common Council Member Richard Fontana said in a statement. "Bailey Avenue is an entryway into our neighborhoods that we all share in common."
Volunteers worked to clean up Bailey Avenue, as well as the University, Masten, and Lovejoy district neighborhoods.
