NORTH TONAWANDA, NY - A local veteran is asking for help finding his service dog.

Garnet Lyon was a Sargent in the United States Army, serving in Afghanistan for roughly four years between 2010 and 2014. His 4-year-old service dog named Gotti went missing Sunday evening when he was let out.

That happened between 10:30 and 11 p.m. in the North Tonawanda area Sunday, on Vandervoort Street near the NT Police station.

Monday morning, the Town of Lewiston Dog Control Office posted this on their Facebook, saying a dog (which looks very similar to Gotti) was seen on Saunders Settlement Road near Niagara Wheatfield School.

Lyon's girlfriend Courtney is asking anyone who spots Gotti to contact her at 716-481-6159.
