BUFFALO, NY -- The Teddy Roosevelt Inaugural Site in Buffalo stayed open despite the government shutdown.
The site, which is Western New York's only national park, stayed open during the shutdown and says they will if it happens again.
That's because even though the federal government owns the property, a local non-profit actually runs the site in a partnership, allowing it to stay open - even after the government funding stopped.
Washington provides about one-third of the funding for the site, with the rest raised locally.
