TOWN OF COVINGTON - A tanker truck carrying 9,000 gallons of liquid manure flipped over Friday morning and spilled nearly half of its load.
It happened around 11 A.M. at the intersection of Old State Rd. and Silver Lake Rd. in the Wyoming County Town of Covington.
Some of the 4,500 gallons that escaped from the truck made its way into Pearl Creek. A representative from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation was on scene.
The driver was not hurt. The Sheriff's Department says charges could be filed in the accident.
