Buffalo Police dispatcher suspended for offensive Facebook post

The Buffalo Police Commissioner suspended a dispatcher who is a civilian employee of the department, after an inflammatory post was shared on social media.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A civilian employee of the Buffalo Police has been suspended without pay after making a "reprehensible social media post" on Facebook.

A police dispatcher, is now the focus of an internal investigation by the Buffalo police after making an inflammatory post on a personal social media page.

Police Commissioner Bryon C. Lockwood said in a statement Monday night that the police department had become aware of the "reprehensible social media post" and immediately made the suspension.
