BUFFALO, N.Y. — An Orchard Park man faces up to seven years in prison for a crash that killed a passenger in his car and injured two others.

The accident happened in the early morning hours of September 15, 2019 along Southwestern Boulevard in West Seneca.

Daniel Witczak, 33, was under the influence when the car he was driving crashed and overturned. He pleaded guilty Friday to one count of Vehicular Manslaughter.

One of his passengers, Corrine Bennett, 38, died at the scene. Witczak and two of his other passengers continue to recover from serious injuries suffered in the accident.

Witczak remains free on his own recognizance until State Supreme Court Justice John Michalski sentences him in April.
