Niagara Falls house 'total loss' after fire

Two adults were taken to a local hospital to be evaluated due to smoke inhalation, and a dog died in the fire.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Niagara Falls Fire Department is investigating a house fire, which destroyed a house Sunday morning in Niagara Falls.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on 90th Street around 6:30 a.m., battling the fire for nearly a half hour. The home is considered to be a total loss, according to the fire department.

Two adults were taken to a local hospital to be evaluated due to smoke inhalation, and a dog died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
