BUFFALO,N.Y. — The Buffalo Fire Department welcomed in its newest class of firefighters on Thursday.

A ceremony was held at the Lewis Bennett High School of Innovative Technology on Main Street.

"Wear that badge with pride; honor. Every time you go out the door, every time you go to work, any place you are, hold your head up high. You are in a brotherhood that gives back," Fire Chief Ronald Bourgeois told the new graduates.

The graduates have undergone 20 weeks of training and are now ready to help protect all the residents of Buffalo.
