SANBORN, N.Y. -- Following a Governor's Office investigation into how Niagara County Community College's retired president handled an alleged sexual assault that took place on the campus, NCCC announced Tuesday evening it has launched a partnership to help sexual assault victims.

NCCC, the YMCA of the Niagara Frontier Rape Crisis Program and the Niagara County Sheriff's Victim Assistance Unit are all part of the partnership. They signed a memorandum of understanding Tuesday, making it official that they will provide services to help sexual assault victims, which could include students, employees and guests.

The college says students, faculty and staff at the college have already been trained to prevent sexual assault from happening with program topics such as "Dating Violence," and "Enough is Enough." It adds these programs will continue to be offered as well as new program development along with additional training.
