BUFFALO, N.Y. — The YMCA Turkey Trot is sold out!

The 8K starts at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at the corners of Delaware and Tacoma avenues.

Racers are encouraged to dress up for the eighth annual costume contest, which will take place before the race at 8:25 a.m. Contestants will take the stage in front of the Delaware Family YMCA, and prizes will be awarded for the best group and individual costumes.

There is a $41 entry fee for signing up, which covers all processing fees as well as a commemorative t-shirt. The event benefits the YMCA Buffalo Niagara's financial assistance program, which helps provide YMCA programs to families in need.

The YMCA is also looking for people who are interested in volunteering at the event.

For more information on registering or how to sign up as a volunteer visit YMCATurkeyTrot.org.
