This was the fifth year Peyton and her family delivered donated toys to the children's hospital. She was was once a patient there.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Quite a few of Santa's helpers live right here in Western New York.

Kindergartner Peyton and her family helped collect and donate more than 1,400 gifts for other kids at Oishei Children's Hospital.

Peyton was once a patient at Oishei Children's Hospital, so she and her family wanted to help cheer up kids in the hospital around Christmas.

"It really is humbling to know that we have such a special kid, that while she's seeing all of these toys, she is saying, 'Well, the kids at the hospital are going to really like these.,' " said her father, Nate Cerasani.

"She might want some and like them, but she's always thinking about how she can help out, and it makes us very proud."
