TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Kim Vaillancourt, the Town of Tonawanda wife and mom of 6 battling cancer, is asking for prayers after doctors found a new spot on her most recent scans.

Kim was diagnosed in December 2015 with Glioblastoma just days after adopting three children. She and her husband Phil had two children of their own and were expecting a third at the time. She put off treatment to protect her unborn son. Baby Wyatt Eli was born April 4, 2016, and he and all the children are doing well.

According to her Facebook page, her doctor is recommending another Gamma Knife treatment.

"Yesterday I had an MRI, it showed a new spot. The doctor recommended another Gamma Knife treatment.  I am really struggling with this. I have been trying so hard, on my own, with repairing the relationships around me. I need to stop that immediately and do it through the Lord! And now I am wondering if I am relying on the hospital or God for my healing. When I was in deep prayer with him, I felt complete security. I am finally returning to deep prayer, as I typed this to a very close friend of mine, I realized how extremely grateful I am for how he brought me back to a deeper relationship with Him! Still I am not sure what the next step should be. Physically, I feel fine, but spiritually and emotionally I am a wreck for the first time in all of this. Please pray for me! I need wisdom, peace, and the strength to let God be in control of it all!"

In September, she had started chemotherapy to fight brain cancer that has re-emerged.
