LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Lockport police have arrested a juvenile for making a bomb threat at Lockport High School on Wednesday.
Students at Lockport High School were evacuated from the school following a threat. Lockport Police say they were notified by the school that they had received a "digital threat" through their tipline on the school's website.
Police posted on their Facebook page Wednesday evening that the unnamed suspect is facing a falsely reporting an incident in the First Degree charge, which is a class 'D' felony.
Investigators say the juvenile didn't have the means or the intention to carry out the threat. The case will go to Family Court.
The police department thanked the school district for its quick thinking and other agencies that helped out.
