Judge denies Conti's dismissal motion

A judge denied Joseph Conti's motion to drop the harassment charge he's facing that led to an order of protection.

BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo man whose son died in a fire last week spent Tuesday morning in court, trying to get unrelated charges dropped.

A judge denied Joseph Conti's motion to drop the harassment charge he's facing from a New Year's Eve incident with his wife.

That charge led to the order of protection which should have kept Conti away from the house that burned down in Lovejoy, killing his 7-year-old son Anthony.

Sources tell 2 on Your Side firefighters think Conti accidentally started that fire, but so far, he isn't facing any charges as police investigate.
