Jamestown Police and Fire investigate arson on Thayer Street

Police say the fire broke out around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday at 31 Thayer Street.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Jamestown Fire Department investigators, along with the Jamestown Police Department, are investigating a suspected arson, which happened early Wednesday morning.

Police say the fire broke out around 1:50 a.m. at 31 Thayer Street.

Surveillance video from a neighbor was captured around the time of the incident. Police say the believed suspect can be seen approaching the location of the fire at 1:50 a.m. and then running away from the scene at 1:54 a.m.

Investigators are looking for any information regarding the identity of the suspect.
