Hamburg Police captain put on unpaid administrative suspension

Police Chief Gregory Wickett said Sunday that the incident in question is still under investigation.

HAMBURG, N.Y. — Following an incident, Town of Hamburg Police Captain Christopher P. Monaco has been placed on unpaid administrative suspension.

Hamburg Police Chief Gregory Wickett also told 2 On Your Side on Sunday that the incident in question is still under investigation.

Jim Shaw, Hamburg's town supervisor, said via email on Sunday night, "The Police Chief conducted a fact finding inquiry. He will issue a report along with a recommendation as to discipline. The town board will make the ultimate determination."
