NIAGARA FALLS, NY-- Congressman Brian Higgins and Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster announced a major environmental restoration project in Niagara County.
The project, led by the Buffalo-Niagara Riverkeeper, will help restore some of the natural habitat along Gill Creek in Niagara Falls.
The goal is to plant new trees and vegetation to reduce stormwater run-off-- which is currently polluting the creek.
They also hope to prevent erosion and diversify the habitat along the river.
