Explore and More Children's Museum shows off inclusive treehouse

The display includes sensory kits, changeable lighting and other ways to make the room inclusive. It will be open to the public on February 8.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — We got a sneak peak of a new inclusive exhibit coming to the Explore and More Children's Museum in Buffalo.

It's a new one-of-a-kind exhibit centered around a treehouse that is accessible to anyone with physical or developmental disabilities.

The display includes sensory kits, changeable lighting and other ways to make the room inclusive.

"We really wanted our children of all different abilities to be able to go into an environment that's very safe, and it's surrounded by woodlands, and it's very serene. We wanted that stress level to come down," Michelle Urbanczyk, the Explore and More CEO, said.

Thursday night was just a sneak-peek event, but it's scheduled to open to the public Saturday, February 8.

It will be there for the next two-and-a-half years.
