Erie County Fair admission going up by $2

Regular gate price change is first since 2009; cost of pre-sale tickets to stay the same.

HAMBURG, N.Y. — It'll cost you two more bucks to get in to the Erie County Fair starting next year. The fair's Agricultural Society announced Friday the full-price, adult gate admission will rise from $10 to $12. The regular gate admission for seniors will also be going up,from $7 to $9. This is the first price change for the 12-day event since 2009.

The price of an advance sale ticket will stay the same: adults $7 and seniors $5. All children under 12 will continue to get in free.

"Our board evaluates our gate prices annual and has not increased gate admission since 2009," said Fair CEO & Manager Jessica Underberg. "Moving forward, these adjustments will greatly help the Erie County Fair better serve fairgoers due to increasing labor costs as well as the rising prices for public safety, emergency services, ground infrastructure, fair production and entertainment."

The 180th Erie County Fair runs from August 7, 2019 through August 18, 2019.
