Deputies need help identifying man found in Lake Erie

Erie County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in identifying a body that was found in Lake Erie last month.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Erie County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in identifying a body that was found in Lake Erie last month.

According to a post on the sheriff's Facebook page, authorities recovered a body from Lake Erie on June 20th.

The victim is a white male, approximately 45-50 years old, being 5’7”, approximately 129 pounds. He's bald and has dark facial hair on the chin.

He was wearing Wrangler blue jeans with no belt and a dark-colored pull over underneath a dark-colored jacket. The man was also wearing white socks but no shoes.

The medical examiner's office also says took a DNA sample, fingerprints and dental impressions, but were still unable to identify the man.
