LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. — A Cattaraugus County Sheriff's K-9 will now be better-protected thanks to a body armor donation from a Massachusetts non-profit organization.

K9 Nichols received a bullet- and stab-protective vest courtesy of Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was sponsored by a fundraiser hosted by the Cattaraugus Little Valley School District. The donation to provide one for a dog is $950.
