BUFFALO, NY -- A Buffalo Police SWAT team was called out to deal with a barricaded man in the first block of Treehaven Road Tuesday morning.
Police say that standoff ended peacefully sometime around 10 a.m. with one man taken into custody.
The call came in from the family of a man who was holding butcher knives, and threatening to harm his stepfather and mother. Police made the decision to use tear gas and enter the home to end the standoff.
Roads in the area are now back open.
This is the second time Buffalo Police SWAT has responded to a call this week.
On Monday, a despondent man was barricaded in an apartment on Seneca Street. He was taken into custody shortly after police responded.
