Buffalo Firefighters investigate cause of fatal fire

Firefighters were called to Winslow Avenue just after 10 a.m.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo firefighters battled a fatal, two-alarm fire in the city's east side Friday morning

Firefighters were called to 468 Winslow Avenue just after 10 am. 

Buffalo Fire Commissioner William Renaldo tells 2 On Your Side firefighters could see heavy flames coming from the house when they arrived.

Renaldo says an elderly man who lived in the house was found deceased. He is not releasing the man's name. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
