Last month, A South Buffalo man came forward to say he was sexually abused by Reverend Norbert Orsolits who was removed by the diocese from ministry back in 2003. Orsolits then admitted to the Buffalo News that he sexually abused dozens of boys.

The same week that news broke, the diocese announced a reconciliation and compensation fund to settle claims filed by people who say they were abused by members of the clergy.

Bishop Malone told reporters last week to expect some news concerning the naming of accused priests this week and spoke about the compensation fund.

"There's been a good response to it. Quite a few of those victims happily have come forth, and that's what we want," said Malone. "We will be waiting to see if any new names come in. I'm sure that the news about Norbert Orsolits that was so shocking to all of us, I never met the man of course, if there are other instances of abuse out there, we want those victims to come forward."
