BUFFALO, NY - Just ahead of Women's History Month, world-famous tennis player and winner of the famous "Battle of the Sexes" match, Billie Jean King, made a special appearance in Buffalo Monday.
King, who is known for her advocacy for gender equality and social justice, participated in a Q&A at Kleinhan's Music Hall after a screening of the 2017 film based on the match.
The private event was organized by M&T bank.
King spoke about her long fight for women's rights. "We still have a long way to go towards you know, equity, equality, all the right things [...] every generation has to fight for freedom and equality," King said.
