WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — Western New York's Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia was honored on a pretty big stage Sunday night.

Bellavia threw out the first pitch during the Washington Nationals versus Los Angeles Dodgers 2019 NLDS playoff game in the nation's capital.

Bellavia has thrown out the first pitch before. On Sunday, he threw it right down the middle last night before game three of the Washington-Los Angeles series.

A fellow army veteran was the catcher there and Bellavia's 22 jersey paid tribute to the Army Task Force 22.

The pre-game ceremony also included a video celebrating Bellavia's heroism and accomplishments.
