Missing Rochester toddler found safe, Amber Alert canceled

The Amber Alert for a missing toddler in Rochester has been canceled after the child was found safe.

ROCHESTER, NY - An Amber Alert for a missing 18 month old girl from Rochester has been canceled.

In a press conference Tuesday evening, Rochester Police said one-year-old Ta-Niyah Williams was found safe. Police say the toddler is now home with her mother.

An Amber Alert was issued for the child Tuesday afternoon. New York State Police say the child, Ta-Niyah Williams, is black, 2'11" and 22 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

It is suspected Ta-Niyah was taken by a Terrence Williams, who is described as a black male around 27 years old, 5'6" and 140 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Williams was last seen traveling on Dewey Avenue in Rochester around midnight Monday.

NYSP believed Ta-Niyah may be in imminent danger.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Rochester Police at (866) NYS - AMBER or 911.
