Four pets die in Chautauqua County house fire

No people were home at the time. The house is considered a total loss.

RIPLEY, N.Y. — Four pets died in a house fire Saturday evening in Chautauqua County.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said crews were at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday to a house Cemetery Road in the Town of Ripley.

No people were home at the time. The house is considered a total loss.

The Ripley, Westfield and Sherman fire departments were called to the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
