11 suspected gang members arrested

Law enforcement arrested eleven men on gang-related charges.

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Eleven men accused of violent crimes ranging from murder to robbery are off the streets of Buffalo, but police and the F.B.I. are still looking for one more.

A 28 count indictment charges twelve members and associates of the C.B.L. B.F.L. gang with several crimes. Prosecutors say the gang formed in 2009 and operated out of the Towne Gardens Housing complex in Buffalo. They say the gang's activities stretched to the Walden Galleria and Chippewa.

According to law enforcement, many units at the housing complex were used to store firearms and drugs.

The eleven men who were arrested are all in their 20s. The U.S. Attorney says they used social media including Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram to spread their message of violence.

"On those videos and on that social media, they displayed quantities of currency, narcotics, as well as firearms. They produced rap videos at locations in and around the enterprise's territory which promoted both the enterprise and its activities," says U.S. Attorney of the Western District of New York James Kennedy.

One of the twelve indicted is still out there. He is Rashad Rose, 23, and he's from Buffalo. The F.B.I. thinks he's still in the area. You should call Buffalo Police or the F.B.I if you see Rose.

One of the men is charged with two murders. One from December of 2015, the other from New Year's Day in 2017.
