BUFFALO, N.Y. — Efforts to reduce emergency room visits are succeeding for many Western New York hospitals.
Fifteen of the 23 hospitals represented on the Business First emergency departments list saw drops in total ER visits from 2016 to 2017.
Rural hospitals saw some of the biggest year-over-year drops. Cuba Memorial Hospital Inc. saw a 14.8 percent decrease in visits, with Wyoming County Community Hospital and Medina Memorial Hospital also seeing double-digit drops. You can read the full article on Buffalo Business First's website.
