Orchard Park cancels 4th of July fireworks, parade

Plans are in the works for a smaller parade that will travel through the town and village on that day.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Orchard Park joins a long list of towns and villages that have cancelled its 4th of July festivities due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Town and village officials made the announcement Wednesday saying the health and safety of the community is the top priority.

Plans are in the works for a smaller parade that will travel through the town and village on that day. More information will be released once the details are finalized.
