OLCOTT, N.Y. — Olcott Beach in Niagara County has reopened for people who want to swim.

Niagara County Department of Health workers sampled water on Friday, and the results showed the water quality is once again suitable for swimmers.

The health department said the water will be monitored closely, and the public will immediately be notified if the quality changed.

The most recent beach advisory was issued Wednesday, but it was not the first one for the beach this season. Previous beach advisories this year were issued on July 12, July 19, and July 26, with the beach staying closed until water levels were safe again.
