BUFFALO, N.Y. — Driven by an uptick in business majors, Canisius College says freshman enrollment is on course to increase 15 percent this year.

That's a big deal at the private, Buffalo-based college, where a multi-year downward trend in headcount has forced a frank re-evaluation of programs and staffing.

A total of 530 freshmen have paid deposits, with the largest increase coming in the Richard J. Wehle School of Business, which saw a 22 percent jump.  You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website
