GROVELAND, NY-- A Tonawanda woman is facing charges following an ATV accident involving children.

Livingston County Sheriff's Office says they were called to an ATV accident on Groveland Hill Road near Vanbuskirk in the Town of Groveland Wednesday evening.

Deputies say Sheryl A. Palermo, 51, was driving an ATV with two children when she failed to negotiate a t-intersection and went into a ditch. All three riders fell off the ATV. No one suffered any injuries.

Palermo has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger under 16, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Police say Palermo has a previous DWI conviction and her drivers license had been revoked.

She was arraigned in court and remanded on $750 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
