A man from Queens will spend the next 2-6 years in prison for stealing from lockers at local fitness centers.

George Piha, 51, was sentenced in court by Judge James Bargnesi for identity theft, burglary and scheme to defraud.

Piha admitted to stealing credit cards from gym patrons and then using those stolen credit cards to purchase items from Apple and Best Buy from February 27-July 12, 2018.

Investigators say Piha made $95,355.49 in fraudulent purchases.

Several police agencies assisted in the investigation, including New York State Police, Amherst, West Seneca, Town of Tonawanda and Hamburg police departments.
