OLEAN, NY-- New York State Police in Olean need your help locating a missing firearm.
Troopers say a Rock River Arms rifle was last seen Monday in a soft, black carrying case on Buffalo Street near I-86 in Olean.
2 On Your Side contacted State Police to get more information on how the rifle went missing, who said the gun belongs to State Police and was not stolen.
Police said they could not comment further on the circumstances because "it is part of an ongoing internal administrative investigation."
