More than 200 pounds of marijuana found during traffic stop

New York State Police recently arrested two people from Massena, N.Y. They are now facing felony charges.

CHATHAM, N.Y. — New York State Police recently arrested two people from Massena, N.Y., who were in possession of more than 200 pounds of marijuana.

According to State Police, a state trooper conducted a traffic stop on Friday in the Town of Chatham, outside of Albany. A K9 search turned up more than 200 pounds of marijuana.

Corey W. Heald, 29, and Kelly L. Heald, 51, both of Massena, were arrested for felony criminal possession of marijuana. They were arraigned on Town of Livingston Court and held without bail in the Columbia County Jail.
