DETROIT, MI-- A former Buffalo Bills player was found shot and killed in a Detroit, Michigan home.
Police say Robert Eddins, 28, and another man were found Tuesday.
Eddins played for the Buffalo Bills in 2011. "This is very devastating to all of us that he is gone," said his mother Bridget Eddins.
Police say both Eddins and Ricky McFarland, 32, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
According to authorities, the gas stove was left on in the house and there was no evidence of any forced entry.
"The gas was on from the stove and the pilots were not lit so it looks like it was an intentional act," said Captain Kurty Worboys from the Detroit Police Department.
investigators believe the suspect, whom the police are still searching for, could be someone the two men knew.
