BUFFALO, N.Y. - A man from Cheektowaga was arrested Friday, after authorities determined that he engaged in sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy in 2017.

Terrill McLin, 20, was arrested for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, Sexual Misconduct and Endangering the Welfare of a Child when he was 19.

State police say they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for possible conduct of child pornography.

After authorities made initial contact with McLin in 2017, they downloaded data from his electronic devices, and a possible victim was found. In June 2018, authorities searched other devices, and it was found that he has sexual contact with a teenage boy.

McLin was arraigned in the town of Cheektowaga court where he was released on his own recognizance.
