BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo teen will spend 16 years in prison for stabbing a woman at a house party on the east side.

Areyona Favors, 19, admitted to stabbing NaKara Morgan, 21, multiple times at a party on Schreck Avenue August 17.   Morgan later died of her injuries at ECMC.

Favors will also have to serve five years post-release supervision.

In addition to being sentenced on the manslaughter charge, Favors was sentenced for assaulting a deputy inside the Erie County Holding Center.  The judge sentenced Favors to seven years in prison for assault. That sentence will run concurrent with the manslaughter sentence.
