Buffalo Police find, arrest suspect who escaped from custody

Police credited the public for calling in tips that led to the arrest of 21-year-old Joshua Wilson.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police on Sunday announced that they found a man who escaped from their custody Wednesday afternoon.

Police credited the public for calling in tips that led to the arrest of 21-year-old Joshua Wilson, who had escaped from custody near the E District police station on Bailey Avenue. It happened around 3:30 p.m.

There was a large police presence near the intersection of Suffolk and Arden as officers searched for Wilson on Wednesday.

Police said Wilson was arrested on Swan Street.
