Buffalo man found guilty of Lackawanna apartment arson

A jury has found a Buffalo man guilty of arson at a Lackawanna apartment.

BUFFALO, N.Y.-- Corey Green could up to 15 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of arson, after two children were badly hurt.

Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announced the 21-year-old Green was found guilty on four counts of Arson in the Third Degree.

Investigators say Green started the fire behind an apartment building on Ingham Avenue in Lackawanna on April 22, 2017. Four families were inside at the time of the fire. A four-year-old had a collapsed lung from smoke inhalation and a three-year-old had third-degree burns.

Green faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Tuesday, October 2.
