BUFFALO, NY - The 26th annual "Stamp out Hunger" Food Drive is Saturday, and it couldn't be easier to make a donation.

Before your mail carrier arrives on Saturday, leave non-perishable goods in a bag near your mailbox. All donations will be taken to local pantries, food banks, and soup kitchens.

"Stamp Out Hunger" is the nation's largest one-day food drive, with Western new York alone donating over 1.3 million pounds of food in 2017.

According to the United States Postal Service, all non-perishables are accepted, but foods high in proteins like canned meats, beans, and peanut butter are most needed, along with canned fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low sugar cereals, mac and cheese dinners, and 100-percent fruit juice.
